  2. This story was mostly about polar bears and algae and the polar bears that live in cold places they don't turn green because algae don't grow in cold places and polar bears siwme in solt water and algae dies if it goes in solt water.

    1. So then I wonder if polar bears that live in zoos are more likely to turn green? I'm inferring that if I took a trip to Antarctica I probably wouldn't see a green polar bear.

I don't know Maggie. I think its because polar bears go in and out of the water and algae likes water and some sunlight, so since polar bears do that its the perfect home for algae.

  8. I found it fascinating when it says in the story"Algae grows in the polar bear's pool".I thought algae can only grow on rocks! Another thing I found interesting was when it says"It was growing in the bear's skin"! It shocked me! This is Kasey!

  9. I thought it was cool how Bonnie's hair changed green from the algae. And I thought it was interesting how if the bears swam in salt water it's hair wouldn't change green from the algae. By: Bryana

I didn't know that algae can grow on a pool or on a polar bear.I also learned that algae can't go in salt water and can go in fresh water. It will disintegrate and be gone. It was funny that it changed green. :] lol
