austi how dose the algae spred evre whare
This story was mostly about polar bears and algae and the polar bears that live in cold places they don't turn green because algae don't grow in cold places and polar bears siwme in solt water and algae dies if it goes in solt water.
So then I wonder if polar bears that live in zoos are more likely to turn green? I'm inferring that if I took a trip to Antarctica I probably wouldn't see a green polar bear.
maggie how does the algae grow on its hair?
You now Maggie i'm not sure Allison P-S
ClaudiaI don't know Maggie. I think its because polar bears go in and out of the water and algae likes water and some sunlight, so since polar bears do that its the perfect home for algae.
if I fond algae in the bath or shower I would skreemby:keoni
I found it interesting that algae grows in salt water and not fresh water. Whats that all about?
I wonder if this happens to other animals? Is it possible for other animals to have fur that turns green also?
I found it fascinating that polar bears have fur that is clear. I thought for sure their fur would be white!
I found it fascinating when it says in the story"Algae grows in the polar bear's pool".I thought algae can only grow on rocks! Another thing I found interesting was when it says"It was growing in the bear's skin"! It shocked me! This is Kasey!
I thought it was cool how Bonnie's hair changed green from the algae. And I thought it was interesting how if the bears swam in salt water it's hair wouldn't change green from the algae. By: Bryana
I thot it was interesting becuse thay have cler hair. And that you can also see the alge growing in thare clear hair.Alex
I learned that algae grows easier on the bear in the fresh water(pool) than the salt water. Noah
JacobI agree to Noah that algae only can grow in fresh water.
I egre with bryana!It was realy interesting!Emma
I learn that salt water kills many kind of algae. Gal
I learn that salt water kills many kind of algaeGal
It was wired that the people saw the algae.I guess polar bears have thin coats of fur or the algae gets on the top coat of fur Natalie Zerecheck
One time my hair turned green from swimming too much.Parker
Jacob BI didn't know that algae can grow on a pool or on a polar bear.I also learned that algae can't go in salt water and can go in fresh water. It will disintegrate and be gone. It was funny that it changed green. :] lol
I think it's weird that the zookepers didn't notice it slowly turned green. -desmond
